AMETHYST

Amethyst's Regal purple hues once adorned breastplates
of Ancient Egyptians and High priests invoking
protection and power.

It's name was born from the myth of Bacchus,

the Greek god of wine who watched as maiden Amethyst was transformed into

crystal. He then poured his drink as an offering giving the gem it's lovely color.

It's purple having an effect on emotions, Amethyst is known

for preparing the wearer for  journeys of transformation.

Found mainly in Brazil and Africa: all who wear this February Birthstone

will feel the peaceful energy of this ancient gem.
